Success

Below is a group of success stories told by the people who have felt the positive effects of the Narconon program :

My addiction has taught me many things. It has taught me about probation and jails, it has shown me the inside of prison twice, and how it feels to be treated like, because I was, less than human. It has taken me to the funerals of seven of my best friends, where I had the opportunity to witness the pain of a mother who lost a son to soon, a father who will never again hear the sound of his child's voice, and a mother with two sons and no father to help raise them. I have given my parents the intense feeling of anguish at finding their son overdosed in their own home. The list goes on, a major part of my life today is a legacy of pain and remorse, my own and that of those whose lives I have touched. I first got clean in 1988 in my first treatment center. I was told that one in ten addicts will make it through treatment. I vowed then to be that one and for the last eleven years I fought a losing battle. It is a miracle that I stand before you today! For those of you who don't know, and are using, let me tell you it is a life and death struggle that you are in. For those of you who have had enough pain I suggest that you grab a-hold of the Narconon program with both hands and don't let go until you wring every bit of knowledge and information out of it that you can. It's been said that nothing worthwhile is easy. I have done the hard part already. I have gained certainty that I was going to die or spend my life in prison by trying to "use successfully." I have more stability now than I ever dreamed possible. I am clean! I never imagined actually knowing I wouldn't use drugs again. I want to talk about the Narconon staff. It is hard for me to put into words my gratitude to the staff. How do you thank someone who has saved your life, and not just mine, but has dedicated their life to helping others to live happy, productive lives? Words are not enough. I will forever spread the word about Narconon and the people who absolutely perform miracles every day. Thank you Narconon! - Narconon Graduate

I have been a cocaine addict for 20 years nonstop. Everyday, every night, for 20 solid years. During that time I tried to quit, but of course after 2-3 days I failed. Also I tried NA and AA, but that failed. I also tried a sober living house, but that also failed. I was doomed to either be an addict the rest of my life or die. Dying looked like the best way out at the later stages of my addiction. I called my mother one last time and she said there is a place that had a 78% success rate. I jumped at the chance to have a cure. I came into Narconon willing to do whatever was needed of me, but it was easy - no meetings, no sponsors. The first thing was the sauna. The sauna took away the physical cravings and also helped me quit biting my nails after 35 years. Then the book work made me realize, I am responsible for my condition and I have the ability to improve my condition. Today I am 2 years clean and no longer an addict - I owe my life to Narconon. -J.E

My life started on the 1st of January, the day I arrived at Narconon Arrowhead. Before that day my only interest was using alcohol and drugs. All my life I had nothing. For 22-years my life was a hallucination. I thought that I was living but I was not. I had no targets, no interests, and no plans. I was nothing. My only interest was finding and using heroin and alcohol. I was at the point where first thing in the morning I would wake up and start drinking. I was drinking liquor like it was water. During the day I would drink beer, whisky, and use drugs. There were a lot of the times when I almost lost my life from car accidents and even overdoses. I was at the point where I was thinking that it would be better to die just so I could find peace. That was what my life was like before I came to Narconon. From the first day I arrived at Narconon I started feeling better, different and better. Along the time I started the courses and the sauna program I started seeing other changes. Day after day I could feel the changes. During a course called the Communication and Perception course I changed 100%. I became what I had never been before, a normal person. I saw my life from a different angle. I have dreams, targets and plans, and I know that I have the power to do everything I want to do and be cause over my new life. This program helped me so much that within 7 months I could not believe that I struggled with addiction for 22-years. Now I'm sure that I can continue my life because now I have so many powerful tools. It may sound bit crazy but sometimes I catch myself feeling lucky that I was on drugs because I never would have had the chance to come to Narconon and learn all the things I know now.

I am Christian Orthodox and I care about my fellow men and I now want to help as much as I can because this program can save lives. A.M. . Narconon Graduate
